Reddit AMA of the Day: To promote the release of his brand-new, online-only, DRM-free comedy special Live at the Beacon Theater (previously), Louis C.K. agreed to participate in a Reddit AMA, letting users ask him anything they wanted to know for two whole hours.

Responding with his signature brutal honesty, Louis tackled a wide variety of questions ranging from his belief in a God:

well i don’t “Believe in god” i have zero idea how everythign got here. I would personally say that, if i had to make a list of possibles, god would be pretty far down. But if I were to make a list of people that know what the f*ck they are talking about, I would be REALLY far down. aids.

To his favorite stand-up performances of all time:

Richard Pryor live in concert. George Carlin (the one at the beacon that he did where he opened with an abortion joke) eddie murphy delirious. Bill Cosby HImself.

To general questions about his FX show, Louis:

I got it by demanding it and refusing to do the show any other way at all and by having the leverage that I was completely willing to walk away without doing the show and by agreeing to an extremely low budget so that they could offset the risk of giving me this freedom becuase they are risking less money. I have had conversations with them about very few moments in the show but zero battles.
