Another Fun Data Point
When Apple’s market cap hits $400 billion, they’ll be worth more than Microsoft and Google — combined.
They’re now less than $20 billion away from that happening.
Big numbers.

Nokia uses Apple’s iMovie standard loop to announce Microsoft partnership
When Steven Elop announced the Nokia/Microsoft partnership last week he did so using Apple’s iMovie. And he didn’t just use the software but also the included, royalty free, sound loop included with the software.
Can’t blame them—Apple makes great products.

So apparently Microsoft Word 2010 includes an IM-type feature for people who are working on the same document (think Google Docs), and in order to show us what it’s all about they made an ad depicting the founding fathers working on the Declaration of Independence.
For that narrow niche of the internet that was dying to know what it’d look like if Thomas Jefferson used an emoticon, your day has come!

I appreciate the effort, but this is tacky in every possible way.

IE9 is the IE6 of CSS3

Microsoft has been bombarding the media with claims about how much better IE9 is than all the other browsers, more HTML5 and CSS3 compliant than any other browser that ever existing and ever will. It’s the only browser that passes all the tests they made up. And, Microsoft has finally implemented the CSS3 selectors that were implemented by other browsers back in, what? 2003? Because Microsoft has updated IE to support CSS3 selectors and rounded corners, they want us to believe that somehow IE9 magically supports the whole slew of CSS3 visual styling. I’m afraid it doesn’t. As a matter of fact, IE9’s support for CSS3 visual styling is so poor that the results are shocking.”
This is disappointing.
