Why You Shouldn't Trust All Infographics
My problem with this post on The Next Web isn’t so much with the graphic itself, that is outdated and misinformed about Apple’s product line (which includes a cheaper Mac that should have been used to compare against NewEgg prices). My problem is that the author of the post, Zee, didn’t include any context with the picture itself, and instead just left it for any uninformed individual (who may be deciding whether or not to purchase a Mac) to take as is.
I’m not denying that you do pay a premium for Apple products—even with the “consumer” iMac. But there’s a level of quality and performance with a higher end Mac Pro that can never be fully understood until you try it out for yourself.
